Black Beauty and Ginger

Very beautiful! You did so good that as soon as I saw it, I though Black Beauty. Very cool idea, taking a horse book every horse lover knows and loves and bringing it to life.

As for technique, only a few things that you could work on, and not big ones at all. I think their shadows could be a bit darker, and angled a bit. If you notice the highlight on Black Beauty's butt, it shows that his shadow should be more in front of him, and that Ginger's should be more behind her. A bit more use of the burning tool on the hooves and grass right below them would help the horses look more there. Those are my only real suggestions though.

I really like the sepia tone, it makes it feel nostaligic. The tails and manes are also very nice, they look very realistic and natural. Your cropping is also very good, nice and crisp.
